Featured Ad type: Viral Ads

Hello ~fname~, and Happy New Year.

This week I would like to talk about the Viral Ads.

Viral Ads are a slide up ad that appears at the bottom of the main page of a lot of TAE’s. It consists of a Title which is hyperlinked to the website of your choice and an ad body where you can give a short explanation of your site. The more you advertise the TAE the more your other program will be shown as well. These ads need a good title and I recommend #Hash Tags# to draw attention to your ads.

These ads are based on a points system and you can either purchase the Viral Ad points or trade advertising points for them.

Want to know a secret?

Viral Ads are seldom used here at Giant Profit Ads.  You will set yourself apart from other “normal safelist members” by using Viral Ads.

Give it a try, but give it some time.  Since it is new to everyone, they need to see it in action a few times before it really catches on.  In the meantime, you will have established yourself, and people will begin to NOTICE YOU since you have been adventurous and tried this technology FIRST!

Best of Advertising.

Start Fresh In This New Year with some Account Maintenance.

Just in case you haven’t done much “maintenance” on your ads and features available to you on GiantProfitAds and Mad-Cow-Ads, here are some things you want to check.

1 Protect Your Links.

Most of our members are not taking advantage of this Viral Traffic secret, which is available free to all members:  Pro is allowed 50 links, JV is allocated 100 links, and SuperJV members get 250 links as part of your membership.

You WANT to use this!  Why?  It puts your REFERRAL ID out there in the ad bar of every one of your ads that comes up in the rotation. If someone clicks that link and joins, you get the REFERRAL CREDIT, and so much more (including CASH if your referral upgrades or purchases ads).

My Bad:  I hadn’t checked Protect Your Links on my own accounts for awhile, and I found that I had some bad URL’s, or projects in which I was no longer participating.

2. Check Banners, Buttons

Be sure the banner displays properly.  Click the banner to test the URL.  For those expired buttons or banners, you can purchase (or trade credits for) blocks of 1000 views, and then apply it to an existing banner.

3. Hot Links, and Traffic Links.

Click the link to test the URL.  For those expired links, you can purchase (or trade credits for) blocks of  views, and then apply it to an existing link.

4. Downline Builder

There are two important things here: You get to define 3 of YOUR websites, and you get the opportunity to fill in YOUR REFERRAL ID for that site after you join.  New sites are being added all the time, so you should check back, and update the Downline Builder so YOUR REFERRALS can join using YOUR REFERRAL LINK.

5. Review your advertising strategy.

a). Your objective on safelists and traffic exchanges should be to BUILD YOUR LIST not to “sell stuff”.  Once they are on your list, then you periodically make offers, but NURTURE your list, provide them with INFORMATION and VALUE and don’t beat them to death with promotion after promotion.

b). Banner Ads ARE AN EFFECTIVE MEDIUM!

c). This is a SURF SITE in additon to a Safelist.  You can define YOUR surf ads and get great point rewards for reviewing Surf Sites posted by other members.

d). Admin Ads are rewarded with high point values!

e). Promote the One Time Offers and Login Offers to your downline, and externally.  Why?  You get rewards for getting referrals to sign up here, points EVERY TIME THEY LOG IN, points for every ad they surf or click, and COMMISSIONS for every purchase made by your downline.

  • You can send to your downline ONCE A WEEK
  • Use your SPLASH PAGES on safelists and text exchanges – they load faster.  You have THREE SECONDS before the average surfer gets distracted.  Using a slow-loading page may lose the opportunity.

f). Encourage your downlines to:

  • Log in DAILY (you get points)
  • Click the Daily Bonus and Login Bonus
  • SURF (you get points)
  • READ ADS FOR CREDIT (you get points)
  • POST ADS HERE (you get points when they trade points for ads)
  • Purchase Ads Here (you get COMMISSIONS from the sale)
  • PURCHASE NETWORK ADS  ($$)

WHY?  This gets YOU credits for any credits earned by your downline, and COMMISSIONS from upgrades and the sale of ads purchased by your downline!

g). For every 10 ads you place for other projects on this and other safelists an traffic exchanges, you should be promoting GiantProfitAds so you can BUILD YOUR DOWNLINE THROUGH REFERRALS.

  • You are rewarded HANSOMELY for referrals that upgrade to be paid members.
  • It is an opportunity to build your list
  • It is an opportunity to earn CASH for any upgrades or ad purchases by your referrals
  • Referrals mean new eyes on your ads, more opportunities for referrals in Downline Builder.

In Tools and Stats, there are graphic assets such as banners, buttons, login ads.  There you wiill also find email swipes.

As always, if you need help, or have questions, fill  out a support ticket.

Pro Member Update

Pro Member Update

Hi
Thanks for responding.  Just to let you know, I’ve been working hard to make improvements and enhancements to all four of our sites:  Giant Profit Ads, Mad Cow Ads, Global Connections Ads, and Empire Text Ads.
The first major change is alignment of member and ad pricing for all four safelists.  Why do I have four safelists?  Easy — just think of these as puppies:  I have “rescued” some that were floundering, they came with a history and some stigmas, they all have room for improvement, and some had some very bad habits that had to be broken, and given some training.
Enough with the Bad Dog rescue scenario…
These safelists have many GREAT things going for them.  Each have unique features and options, an inherent base of members (good and bad), different Super Network connections, and different rewards, and different ad types.  This is GREAT news.  Why?
  • The annual membership fee is now low enough that members can join MULTIPLE sites.
  • Membership and Ad pricing is at EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE rates.
  • Referrals are the lifeblood of any program, and we want to ENCOURAGE not only recruiting but UPGRADES to PAID MEMBERSHIPS.
  • The Super Network connections greatly expand the ADVERTISING REACH for our members.
  • The Super Network connections address multiple geographic and demographic profiles, again a wider reach.
  • The implementation of Cheat Controls forces people to actually SEE the ads and discourage Point Scrapers
Why not have all the Super Network connections on all four safelists?  The easy answer is COST.   I own GiantProfitAds and Mad-Cow-Ads.  I pay for Super Network partnerships OUT OF MY POCKET every month on behalf of our members.
I also pay for hosting, and Ad Co-Ops to increase traffic on Giant Profit Ads and Mad Cow Ads.  This is a business.  For two years, I have been paying several hundred dollars per month to maintain these safelists with virtually NO revenue.
I found a way to add additional functionality and competitive advantages to our ADVERTISING COMMUNITY without killing my budget.  How?  I RENT both Global Connections Ads and Empire Text Ads.  For one monthly rental fee, I get hosting PLUS all the Super Network connections as part of that rental.  All the newest features are in these scripts, and I can now afford to lower ad prices, lower membership fees, and offer some great OTO’s and Login Offers.
The situation here, though is no different than other Safelist owners are experiencing.  I do network with other TAE owners through forums and newsletters, the quorum states that these characteristics are much the same with them.
  • Most free members are along for the free ride, they do not contribute ANYTHING of value to the Advertising Community, they NEVER purchase ads, they do not bring in referrals.
  • Most PAID members have been inherited as LIFETIME members, and THEY have not contributed any revenue other than their initial (low) lifetime membership fee.  (And, NOT TO MY REVENUE STREAM).  They are little more than free members WITH PRIVILEGES.
  • Many users employ Point Scrapers – automated Ad Bots that open the credit emails simply for the purpose STEALING AD CREDITS.   Our members submit ads with the presumption that a percentage of their ads are being OPENED, and VIEWED by HUMANS, when in fact, very few of their ads are being seen at all.
  • Despite all of the incentives, most members are not logging on with any regularity
  • Members do not understand the importance, and VALUE of referrals both to the advertising community, and to their budgets.
So, despite the highly competitive business we are in, owners recognize the challenges we face in making the Safelist business work:
  • How to make it AFFORDABLE for people to join as PAID members.
  • How to keep a fresh revenue stream so premium features and networks can be provided.
  • How to create incentives for people to join, and login.
  • How to create a consistent and predictable flow of NEW REFERRALS to grow our membership, provide a continuous changing audience for your ads, and provide rewards and commissions for those PAID members who are actively recruiting.
So, I am doing MY part to face these challenges, and ADDING VALUE to a membership with me in hopes that FREE members will convert to PAID members, become an ACTIVE MEMBER of our ADVERTISING COMMUNITY, and will reap the rewards of respecting this as a BUSINESS in which we BOTH can prosper.
Now, some of my contribution…

I’ve found that it is useful to remind the subscribers of my safelists to do some basic account cleanup.  If you are like me, you could have hundreds of safelists and traffic exchanges, and for sheer volume alone, this could be a daunting task.  But everyone should be tracking their promotions, and determine the most effective/least effective sites.
I like to think that my four safelists have the features, traffic, and personal touch in day to day operations that you simply do not get with the hundreds of solicitations you receive, and are “enablers”.  They offer connections to many different SOLO Ad Super networks, which extends our subsribers’ advertising reach to over 100,000 double-opt-in members.  All Supernetwork ads are offered at the MINIMUM ALLOWABLE PRICE.
I take a unique approach for One Time Offers and Login Offers.   It is ridiculous to think that 15 seconds after someone joins a safelist or traffic exchange that they would have enough information to determine whether a One Time Offer (OTO) or Login offer is worthwhile.  They simply have not had time to evaluate that high pressure offer and analyze whether this new system they just joined meets their expectations and delivers on promises.  For that reason, we allow access to the Second Chance OTO and Login Offers right from our member’s menu to check out AFTER they begin using our systems.
Of course, you are welcome to join each of them for a crazy low price of $10 per year for JV, or $20 per year for SJV.  There are some impressive bundles available to our subscribers right now.  Feel free to check each of the One Time Offers and join now.

Whether you are one of my safelist subscribers or not, the following maintenance items are worthy of your attention. This newsletter is an example of the regular communications received by our subscribers from the admin.

Tips for blog and other non-fiction writers.

by Dr. Jeffrey Lant

Do you have a need to write non-fiction articles for your blog, newsletter, or other purpose? Then you’ll find this article timely, apt, and practical. I am going to share some tips which have stood me in good stead… and should be most helpful for you.

My writing credentials.

I have been a published author now for nearly 60 years; my first non-fiction article appeared in the Downers Grove (Illinois) Reporter and was a look at the neighborhood through the eyes of a five year old. Since then, I have written 18 books and thousands of articles on a wide range of subjects. I also have taught expository writing at several colleges and universities, including Harvard. In the last year I have written over 200 non-fiction articles of about 1,500 words each. You could say, and you’d be right, that scribbling is in my veins.

1) Have a writing place, a room or even just a desk that’s used only for your writing.

Have you got a place now that’s dedicated to your writing and to nothing else? Probably not… and that’s your first problem. All serious writers (and by that I mean writers who are dedicated, productive and focused) know the importance of a room all their own, a room where the rest of the world is cordially not invited. In this space — sacrosanct to your craft — there is NOTHING else going on but what helps you write. These days that means a computer with at least a 36″ screen. The older you (and your eyes) are, the more you’ll appreciate the screen size.

Make it clear to all the world that they are not to touch, ever, a single thing in this space. ALL writers have idiosyncratic organizational systems. Whatever is yours must be for you and you alone.

2) Have standard reference books easily at hand.

Good writers have a good working library containing appropriate reference books. For instance, I have standard dictionaries in English, French, Spanish, Italian, and German. I use them daily… and so must you. Good writers are expert are finding just the word they need… the dictionaries ensure they get it.

Note: Some, presumably younger, readers will argue that everything they need is available online. It may be a function of my age and habits, but I like the old paper dictionaries and other reference books. That may make me an anachronism… but a happy and productive one.

3) Set up a filing system.

You should have files for articles and books you intend to write. These files should contain ideas and research findings. Do not be casual or disorganized about these things; losing them could set you back days or weeks and is sure, at the very least, to leave you in a nasty temper.

You also need files for all the articles you have written. Such files will contain your notes and research data and a copy of the final article, as well as any fan letters you received (yes, you’ll get them) and other pertinent correspondence.

4) Have a handy place for all your writing supplies.

Writers need lots of supplies, including reams of paper, fax supplies, etc. You’ll need good pens, too, for editing. What you write online should always be printed out when it’s time to review what you’ve written.

5) Select your writing time and strictly adhere to it.

Seasoned writers are methodical writers. They set the exact time they intend to write, starting and concluding, and then proceed accordingly. In his must- read autobiography prolific Victorian novelist Anthony Trollope made it clear when he wrote and what he aimed to produce (250 words the quarter hour). He set the objective and then made sure he achieved it by being in his writing place at the set time… and focusing exclusively on his craft and output at that time.

6) Never take phone calls or other interruptions during your writing time.

Non-writers do not understand writers and our often curious ways; no, they never have and never will. That’s why they think of telephoning or even showing up during your essential writing time. Such people must be politely but firmly told that you never answer calls, etc. or attend to any other interrupting thing during that scheduled period. Life’s little interruptions are severely detrimental to what we must do, and we must be strict about controlling their access.

5) Write daily.

There isn’t a day that goes by, not Christmas, Thanksgiving or the 4th of July, that I don’t write. Thus, by adhering to a strict schedule, I produce about 325,000 publishable words each year. What’s important, however, is not the quantity of words produced but their consistent quality… and the fact that not a single day ends until the quota for that day is finished.

I live in an academic community where there are lots of experienced and even more aspiring writers. When one identifies himself to me, I always ask what he’s working on now, when he expects to finish it and when he finished his last writing project. The answers provide irrefutable proof as to whether the person in question is a writer… or merely a dreamer. Writers write… more importantly writers write daily.

6) Learn to use the search engines.

As a prolific writer, I spent in earlier years a great deal of time in libraries garnering necessary information. Nowadays, with up-to-the-minute data available online at your finger tips, I hardly ever set foot in such an archaic place. The key here is knowing how to use search engines, the “card catalogs” of the Web. Here are some tips:

a) never limit your search to a single search engine. Different search engines can and do produce different results.

b) never restrict yourself to one search term. Brainstorm different search queries; they will produce different results.

c) Print the data and documents you discover as soon as you find them. What you find today may not be there when you return.

d) Do your search engine researching during time you are not writing. Searching is not only necessary; it is actually fun and relaxing.

7) Set up a blog where you can showcase your work.

If you have a blog, use it. If you don’t, set one up at once as a useful place to showcase your work.

A blog gives you, unlike all previous writers, the opportunity to tell the world who you are and show them what you can produce. It should be well-written, simply but eye-catchingly presented, and always timely.

Last Words

Writers are special people; we have a privilege that most of the world can only imagine: the need, the obligation, the absolutely necessary task of seeking truth, contemplating what we find, then writing about it in the clearest, most honest way we can. In the process we touch people’s lives, inform them, change them, improve them. There is absolutely nothing more essential and more rewarding than that.

Now, with this article in hand, you are ready to perfect yourself as a writer and the process that produces just the words you want, just when you want them; for that is the last of today’s advice. To set a deadline for all your writing tasks… and stay focused so you achieve it…

… Which is what I have just done… finishing today’s article on time and the right length, too. In a few minutes it will be posted online, the next step to helping it wend its way to you. Thus we lucky scribblers change the world, one word, one article, one reader after another… people who make a difference every day and gladly so.

GiantProfitAds: Letter to Downline

I’m letting you in on an internal memo I sent to my “referrals” at GiantProfitAds.

As the owner of GiantProfitAds, I could have just let them go without getting the benefit of the free upgrades and offers. After all, it is all right there on the Member’s page, it was mentioned in the broadcast to each member, and I created several targeted video tutorials on what they had to do to take advantage of their memberships, and HOW to do it.

But…

GiantProfitAds is building a community, not just “members” of a safelist that harvest points then move on to the next free email. This is what you should expect, and promote, when you join my TEAM.

There are some shining nuggets in the message below that not only shows how we take care of our own, but also some valuable tips and tutorials that may make your safelist advertising more efficient, and fun.

RJM
LETTER TO DOWNLINES
I appreciate that you signed up, but there are some things you MUST DO NOW.
1. Many of you who have signed up as a PRO (free) member have not taken advantage of the low cost JV UPGRADE.
There are SO many advantages to doing this upgrade! The biggest is that Pro members have limitations on what ads they can trade for points.  The next couple reasons: more ads, more points for surfing, more points for referrals, commissions, etc.
  • To upgrade, click Upgrade on the main page of GiantProfitAds
2. Get and Redeem your Login Bonus Promo Code
  • Go to MEMBER HOME page.
  • Find the PROMO CODE section.
  • Press the button to get today’s promo code.
  • Highlight that code and copy it to your clipboard (Ctrl+c).
Now, redeem that promo code
  • Go to ADVERTISE HERE page.
  • Find the REDEEM PROMO CODE box.
  • Paste the code you just copied into the box with Ctrl+v and press the button.
3. Collect your Daily Bonus Points
  • Go to MEMBER HOME page again.
  • Find the big button called Click for Daily Bonus Points. Right above the Nav Menu on the left sidebar.
  • Click it.
  • Wait til the timer expires to receive between 2000-5000 points, just for clicking the button.
4. Download the eBook
  • Find the eBook Master of Text Ad Exchanges, located right below the Click for Daily Bonus Points button
  • Right click that book cover and
  • Save Link As… or Save Target As… to save it to your hard drive where you will be able to find it.
THIS IS YOUR OPERATORS MANUAL FOR USING GIANT PROFIT ADS!. Please READ IT!
5. Review Tutorials and Training
There are SO MANY tips and techniques that will make you SO MUCH MORE PROFICIENT at using not only GiantProfitAds, but any safelist.
6. AFF SuperNetworks
If you are serious about safelist advertising, I strongly recommend you sign up for a free account at AFF SuperNetworks using the link on the GiantProfitAds site.
  • aff-supernetworksGo to ADVERTISE HERE.
  • Page down until you find this banner
  • Click the Banner. You will be taken to the AFF SuperNetworks site
  • Sign up for a FREE account.
I have paid for a partnership with AFF SuperNetworks so that GiantProfitAds members can get an extended reach for their ads, at an extremely low cost. As a free member of AFF SuperNetworks, because you signed up through that banner, or MY REFERRAL LINK, you get an incredible allocation of different ad types that go to 57 sites, and almost 44,000 members.
7. Don’t know all you should know about Safelist advertising?
  • I recommend you sign up for a FREE ASSOCIATE membership at WorldProfit.
  • Go through the “Bootcamp” training MODULE BY MODULE and FOLLOW THE TRAINING EXACTLY.
  • You will suceed. Guaranteed.
  • Go through the Bootcamp training, and then, only after you have completed the training videos in the entirety, consider an upgrade to Silver member.
  • Here is the signup link: http://WebcastSource.com/associates.
I think I’ve dumped enough on you for now. I strongly recommend you spend some time setting up your initial allocation of ads, at least SOME banner ads, button ads, hotlinks, traffic links, and send at least one SOLO ad.

So, this is the environment we are creating at GiantProfitAds.
If you are not a GiantProfitAds member yet
click THIS LINK to sign up as a Pro member
(you then will qualify for everything else
if you follow the steps outlined in this letter)

It’s Your Business. Let Me Show You Plan B on Steroids

You have landed.  Whether you just found this post with a Google search, from a newsletter, or from an email promotion, I wanted to tell you that YOU HAVE ARRIVED!

To reiterate for those who missed the introduction in the email, you started YOUR BUSINESS, your home-based business so you could achieve financial freedom, quit your J-O-B, and have the time and money to travel, visit exciting places, and live your dreams.  You found out that having your own business is SOOO much more work than you imagined.

  • The money is draining rather than flowing
  • You will be driving that 1986 Volkswagen Bug till the wheels fall off (Oh, it just did that!)
  • You went from an 8 hour day to a 20 hour day
  • You haven’t had a weekend off since you came up with this hair-brained idea.

I’d like to suggest some steps you can take to get you back on track.  This will not make you rich, but it will allow you to earn SLOW and STEADY, and at the same time get the resources and savings so you CAN take that vacation.  Not only this year, but every year.

 It’s Your Business.  Take Control

This is a STRATEGY, and it is wrapped around SEVERAL projects, SEVERAL Sources of Income, some ways to save money, autopilot lead generation to build your list, and submission tools that give back some of that lost TIME.

This is what I will call “Plan B”… on steroids.

I am not a “guru”.  I don’t  brag about the millions I’ve earned.  I’ll never show you my Paypal account, or for that matter, a screenshot of ANY of my accounts.  It’s none of your business.  I recommend that you take a short break to read a book.

This short book tells a story.  It is called “The Millionaire Next Door“.

The Strategy Part I – Short Term Cash Infusion for Your Business

First is a short-term, low investment, fast cash infusion.
  • Your out of pocket expense is $18 for a lifetime membership at 4 Corners Alliance.  This is a financial education company with some excellent products, but the reward here is the amazing 4×6 matrix that will yield $10k in 12 weeks.  What’s the catch?  You must convince 4 people to spend $18.  That’s less than a large pizza with toppings and a 3 liter bottle of soda.
  • I will send you an invitation to join Team Global Impact for free.  TGI will help you with tools, promotions, support and an optional co-op.
  • You would eventually need an autoresponder so why not get the one that 4 Corners Alliance uses:  TrafficWave.
    • Why Traffic Wave?  The cost of Traffic Wave is $17.95 per month.
    • Unlike other autoresponders, this is the TOTAL PRICE for unlimited campaigns, subscribers, and messages.  The price never goes up.
    • With TrafficWave, you get a 30 day free trial, and after that, I will pay for your first paid month myself as part of the TrafficWave Matrix Buster program.   So you have 60 days to get some referrals (which pay nice commissions).  Two referrals to TrafficWave alone pay for your monthly vig.

Believe it or not, it is pretty difficult to convince 4 other people to invest $18 each and get 4 of THEIR friends to do the same.  But if it were easy, there would be far more millionaires, wouldn’t there?

Steps to take:
  1. Join 4 Corners Alliance ($18)
  2. Join Team Global Impact (free)
  3. Join Traffic Wave (30 day free trial)
  4. Get 4 Referrals to 4 Corners Alliance
  5. Promote 4 Corners Alliance and TrafficWave

Part II – List Builder and Enabler, Savings Component.  Reinvesting Back Into Your Business.

You probably get it about list builders.  If you haven’t heard it yet, go back to hiding under that rock.  The Money Is In The List!

  • M&G Home Business System provides an “autopilot” lead factory complete with an autoresponder.  I chose the option to have M&G provide 6 signups PER DAY 7 days per week.  My list grows by 180 contacts every month for $39.95 per month.
  • M&G also has a savings component called Fun Time Travel Club.
    • This is available to you as long as you remain a member of M&G.
    • Fun Time Travel Club is a 4-in-1 Discount Travel Card that could save members hundreds to thousands on their next vacation. Discounts are for Cruises, Hotels, and Condos.
    • There is a fourth component of the 4-in-1 Discount Travel Card: Coupons for everyday purchases.
    • Members can use this discount program for as many vacations per year as they wish.
    • The annual membership is generally paid for with the savings from the first vacation booking.
    • There are no minimum stays, except for obvious things like cruises, or bookings of  “Hot Tips” vacations, which are INCREDIBLY DISCOUNTED vacations (available for only the specified timeframes and locations)
  • Fun Time Travel Club as a Business Opportunity!
    • You buy 2 of the 4-in-1 Discount Travel Cards for $149.
    • You keep one yourself and sell the second membership.  The suggested retail price for the first year membership is $399.
    • You get to keep $399 for that second card when you sell a membership, which still leaves a profit of $150 and YOUR CARD IS FREE.
    • The suggested annual renewal cost for the Fun Time Travel Club is half-price, and M&G DOES NOT CHARGE YOU FOR RENEWALS!  For every renewal, you get to KEEP $199 for each card every year that they renew.

Steps to take:
  1. Join M&G Home Business ($39.95 per month).  Since this is a network marketing program, you should promote it on Safelists, Traffic Exchanges, Classified Ads, widgets on your blog (if it is built around IM themes).
  2. Join Fun Time Travel Club ($149 for 2 cards).  Since EVERYBODY needs a vacation, promote on Safelists and Traffic Exchanges as a BizOp.  Classified ads as both a BizOp and Travel/Recreation.  Local papers, Craigs List, Facebook and Twitter.  Post on the grocery store bulletin boards, windshield flyers, etc.
  3. Promote M&G and Fun Time Travel Club as above.  Add followup messages to both autoresponder message sequences (yes, Fun Time Travel Club should have it’s own funnel that goes to a separate autoresponder in M&G).

Next are several strategies to build your list while at the same time sell

Part III – Build List, Promote, and Sell.

If you have forgotten, YOUR ONLY JOB IS TO BUILD YOUR LIST.  How do you build your list and promote your business?  You PROMOTE.  Always promote to a LANDING PAGE (sometimes called Squeeze Page).  You want to capture minimally the email address before you tell your whole story.
What a about this “SELL” thing?  I thought a marketer’s job was to SELL.  WRONG WRONG WRONG!  Selling is the LAST THING ON YOUR MIND.
  • You Promote to build your list.
  • You use your list to build relationships.
  • You gently suggest ways for those subscribers on your lists to look at your business and products.
You build out your autoresponder messages to develop and foster the RELATIONSHIP with the people WHO HAVE SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR  LIST!  By the way, try referring to it as your NEWSLETTER and not your LIST!  It seems like something in a bad conspiracy theory B movie.  You actually WANT to  create a relationship with your subscribers.
Look at your content on blogs and the message sequences in your autoresponder.  Are you just continually pounding your subscribers with BUY THIS or SIGN UP FOR THAT?   You need to give your subscribers INFORMATION, not sales pitches.  You need to give your subscribers something of value TO THEM, whether that be an article, a report, a video, an eBook.  Something along your main theme that someone would enjoy reading.  And, it has to be FREE.   You will put some gentle advertisements in the sidebars or margins, beneath your signature line, or provide a link to a website they would enjoy visiting.
Offer a bonus of a free eBook.  This is where the tons of PLR you have been collecting comes into play. Be sure your PLR or MRR rights allow giving that work away.
Be sure that if your primary business is doing floral arrangements, and that was how you attracted your subscribers to your list, that your followup messages in the autoresponder, and the freebies you give them are long that same topic.  Do NOT give them an eBook called BLAZING SAFELIST COMMANDO TACTICS!
So, you are saying, HOW DO I SELL THIS STUFF?
I mentioned subtle sales references in sidebars, footers, and beneath your signature line.  Direct them to a website that does have “monetized” widgets in the sidebars.  If you DO send them to another site, use viral ad techniques to show your ads in a pop-up or exit promo, or redirect to an intermediate page that stays there for 20 seconds then forwards them to their destination.
This should not be haphazard.  Your funnel SHOULD BE DESIGNED.  There should be a PLAN.
Track and Measure Everything
You should be using some type of Ad Tracker, and you should be looking at how effectively your ads performed in certain venues, at particular times of day, with certain  bonus offerings.  Simple URL masking is not enough, you need the STATISTICS that are generated by a good quality ad tracker system.
Where to Promote
Where to promote is important.  Most people gravitate to Safelists and Traffic Exchanges.   Unfortunately, your ad power is substantially diminished on safelists if your primary business is NOT network marketing or IM-related products and programs.  You must go where your CUSTOMERS would be looking.  Even Network Solos that are pushed as the solution to lazy safelist users, are nothing but collections of safelists, still all having the primary theme of network marketing.  Consider classified ads, Craigs List, and other places someone NOT INTERESTED IN MARKETING might frequent.

This is one place it would be appropriate to suggest Fun Time Travel Club.  Direct your subscribers to another funnel that happens to be a blog or article on a travel theme website.  Everybody needs a vacation, and if you can convince them that it might be within reach to get an affordable family vacation with the 4-in-1 Discount Travel Card, you get them on ANOTHER LIST that drips travel stories and tips
Strategies and Tactics
  1. Promote your business EVERY DAY on venues appropriate for your target market.
  2. Promote to Facebook groups (if permitted).  I have been using a simple $7 per month tool called SlackSocial that has cut my time to submit to 60+ FB groups from over an hour to literally 5 minutes, and it keeps me out of Facebook Jail by pacing the release of messages.
  3. Add a message at least every couple days to your autoresponder followup messages (Yes, each one).  The longer they remain on your active list, the longer you have the opportunity for another “touch”.
  4. Send broadcasts at least several times per week to all subscribers in your autoresponders.
  5. Don’t forget to send to your referrals/downlines that have come to you through downline builders and lead capture sources that are NOT in your autoresponders
  6. Give away information, reports, eBooks, training courses to your subscribers that THEMSELVES entice people to get on OTHER lists. That is more opportunity to build that relationship and turn those prospects into customers.

I personally have been a member of WorldProfit for several years ($99-149/month).  They give you a huge goody bag at signup as a paid member. They have the best tools (included), the most resources (included), best training (included), huge PLR library (included), ClickBank Promo Kit (included), URL Cloaker  (included), Viral Ad Builder  (included), Ad Tracker  (included), the most traffic (included) and so much more.  I’m a fan.

What is Your Ideal Home Based Business? Sorry You Asked?

The leader of an internet marketing project distributed a survey recently.  I did not feel it was appropriate to dump on this poor guy.  But,  nevertheless, I felt obligated to write down some of my thoughts.  He made the mistake of providing a text box for my free-form comments, and an invitation to provide my comments in answer to this question:

“Feel free to leave any comment on what you feel is the ideal online business.”

  • Honest, trustworthy leadership.
  • Stable, predictable programs with proven track record.
  • Full disclosure UP FRONT. No upsells, OTO’s or other deceptive marketing practices. Small business and Internet Marketing don’t get it.

This is how it is done by professional consultants in Fortune 500 companies (a typical engagement):

For 6 years I did “consultative selling” to multi-million dollar enterprise accounts. Our sales people would get appointments for me (leading the consulting team). The client assigned a core team to work with my team, I led a team that conducted a “current state” assessment for whatever business area the client was trying to improve. I designed many times 1, 2, 3, or more potential “future state” scenarios, worked with the client to select and initiate a limited pilot and “proof of concept”. We (the client core team and my team) jointly determined the best scenario(s), and I developed a proposal with full disclosure and ROI that was presented to C-level decision makers in the company. If the proposal was accepted (94% of the time), I handed my sales team a complete Bill of Materials and timeline that extends to the full length of the contract (typically 5 years), from which orders were placed. I turned the implementation plan over to a deployment team.

Some of my clients: Sanofi-Aventis Pharmaceuticals, ADT Payroll Services, US Air Force Reserves HQ, US Air Force, Library of Congress, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Dept of Corrections, St. Lukes Medical System, Buffalo Medical Systems, NSA, PA Dept of Human Services, PennDOT. I was a team leader for Boeing Defense Systems, Kaiser Permanente Medical System, UPMC Medical Systems, Philadelphia School District, Bank of America, IRS, US Army, UBS Financial

Compare this to Internet Marketing. Details are rarely revealed of the program before the sales pitch is delivered. Buyers or affiliates are at the mercy of deceptive advertising (or fraudulent by way of omission). False promises of earnings, couched with so many “earnings disclosure” exceptions are the only information provided. It is all about the sale, and NO consideration to support, integration, and future upgrade paths. Without knowing all the moving parts, including upsells, add-ons, or blatantly missing components, small businesses cannot possibly do a feasibility study or ROI estimation because the sum total of all necessary components is not revealed until that buyer has invested sufficient time, energy, resources, and funds to prohibit reversal of the project.

So my ideal Internet Marketing program would be modeled after the proven Fortune 500 consulting methodologies that ensure a reasonable return on investment. Fortune 500 companies MUST do it this way because those companies have stockholders to answer to. In Internet Marketing, the only ones accountable are the inexperienced fools who blindly invest into these poorly structured, hyped programs, going on incomplete and inaccurate information.

Sorry you asked?

4 Differences Between Websites And A Blog

Blogs are sites where a person can put a shared journal or a businesses can even promote their website. There have been a lot of questions out there lately of how a blog works and how they are different from other website. There are usually 4 basic differences that make a Blog unique from a website.

1. Posts Posts are said to be the core function of any blog. It is the building blocks of the blog and it is what holds the blog together. The posting on the blog is most generally done by the blog owner and is usually on a variety of different topics. Also another distinct difference between a blog and a website is on the blog the postings will appear in chronological order. With a website you do not have to post. It is just a basic site where a person may go to obtain information on a certain product or idea.

2. Comments On a blog visitors are allowed to leave comments, if you the owner authorize it, on your posts. It is also a good way for a reader of your blog and you to communicate. The comment section of your blog also helps drive visitors to your site. The comment section is a very important component of any blog. With a website you do not have to have a comment section.

3. Categories The category section of your blog is basically where the information from the posts or posted content is organized. It keeps your site looking neat and well formatted. It also prevents your blog from looking overcrowded. For bigger Blogs the categories can be organized by month or even topic. There is also usually a search feature that assists the reader to find information on a certain topic quickly. Usually the blog has software that automatically places your posts into various categories.

4. Subscriptions This is a very important aspect when you want to learn how a Blog works. The subscription features allows readers to become a member of the blog and once they become a member of the blog they can be notified when new information is placed on a blog. This is a great reason to create a blog as it allows you to create an online community on a certain topic. Some blog sites are now implementing a news letter feature which allows a person to read your information without even having to sign into the site. As you can see there are some big differences between a blog and a website. The more differences you understand the more you will understand Blogging. A Blog can be a fun and exciting way to meet new people while sharing your ideas, if they are understood correctly.

Blogging Your Way to Profits Chapter 3

Blog Making Money – Can You Do It

A blog making money is a blog that is generally successful. While this isn’t the focal point of many blogs, for some, it?s a nice addition to their income and for the more successful, their only source of income and one that allows them a well enough lifestyle.

For the most part, making money off blogs is a mystery to many people ? it doesn’t have to stay that way. Read on and you may discover another way for you to make money. Before anything else, you need to be able to write fairly consistently and at a steady pace. Three or four entries a week doesn’t seem like much at the start, but after a while it can wear even the most devoted writers down. It?s just like any job ? sometimes you get bored with it and you step out for a day or two, but the Internet is a far more demanding ruler than many bosses. Plus nothing feels better than knowing you have a blog making money.

When you have a solid and devoted following, you can afford to miss one or two days or even weeks. Some sites even go a month without updating, but at the very start, you need to be able to stick to it like white on rice. For those who open blogs based on products, you?re in luck ? you can probably get on the affiliate bandwagon and make some money that way. Now, how does that work?

It?s fairly simple. Being an affiliate to a website basically means that you?re advertising them on your website, either by having content related to the main website and linking to them or by showing their ads on your site. Payment isn?t like it is in other media industries though. The Internet?s just a different field than television, one that requires a different payment method.

Generally, the setup is a pay-per-blank, wherein the blank is something that changes from group to group when it comes to blog making money. Most people go for the pay per click variant, which means exactly what it suggest ? payment only occurs once a viewer on your site clicks the link to their site. Another popular variant, one mostly for merchandise sites such as Amazon, is the pay-per-purchase variant. A user needs to do more than simply browse through the numerous items available ? they actually have to purchase something.

Payment for advertising for blog making money varies from group to group. Luckily the internet and thus, the people you can meet in it is so wide that you?ll probably find someone or a group that wants to advertise or have you as an affiliate. Build a good site and the money will come. Probably.

The internet and blogging aren’t some magic words that you can use to instantly get ahead in the rat race. It just doesn’t work that way. You still have to work hard and make a site that advertisers would actually be interested in, that can give real traffic to those who would make you an affiliate site. Work hard, put in the leg work and yours might be a blog making money.

3 Blog Writing Tips

Blogs are a great way for anyone to get their ideas across to others and a great way for businesses to do some free advertising. Creating a great blog is an excellent way to drive more traffic to your site. When building your site there certain tips a person should pay attention to when they are writing their blog.

1. Write When you are writing your blog write it with your reader in mind. When a reader is looking for information that may pertain to your idea they want the information in a way that they can both read and understand easily.

2. Valuable and Worthwhile With everyone busy life no one has time to waste to look at a boring site. If you cannot think of anything creative to talk about, then try to do interview, or even a book. Anything will do as long as you are not posting useless content.

3. Proofread It is grave importance that you proofread your material before you push that post button. Once you push that post button that is it the error is out there and there is no way back. Respect your reader and keep your site free of errors and easy to read.

4. Short and Simple Keep your postings as short and simple as possible because its human nature that people are scanners. You will need to make your point quickly otherwise risking losing your reader completely.

5. Lively Write to your readers like you would talk to your friend or family member. The more lively your posts, the more snagged your readers will become. Make it seem like you are talking directly to them and only them. But be sure to make your point quickly

6. Links Use links as often as you can. This will help you create credibility and help establish you to the reader as an expert on the subject. You can also create a network by linking to other similar blogs. The other bloggers will clearly thank you.

7. Keywords Use your keywords as often as you can it will allow you to stay on task and the search engines will love it. The more keywords you use the higher your rankings on the search engine your blog will appear.

8. Write Clear You need to write your blogs in a way that the average person can understand. Do not ever try to put more than one idea in a sentence this will confuse your readers. Make sure you use your commas as often as possible

9. Headline Make sure your headline is easy to understand and should have keywords relating to your blog in it. If you follow these simple steps, you will have a great written blog in no time with a lot of readers.

Blogging Your Way to Profits Chapter 5

Blog Ethics

Creating a blog is a great way for anyone to share their life experiences and even advertise their business. To date there are no actual code of ethics developed for bloggers to follow but there are three common sense ethic codes that anyone should follow while they are running their blog posts. These are the code of ethics that will prove you as a trustworthy blog owner.

1. Fair and Honest: You need to be fair and honest to your followers. You need to make sure all the information you provide is honest without adding any false information. When you are providing facts you need to make them distinct, true, and easy to follow. Do not attempt to distort your facts, visitors can read this right away and as a result, you will lose visitors. If you happen to provide any information, in your site that may appear to be false; you need to provide your reader with factual information to back up your statement. If you are adding pictures to your blog add captions underneath to explain to the reader about the picture. Fair and Honest are two of the most important components of the bloggers code of ethics.

2. Harm of others: When you are creating a blog topic on a very controversial issue avoid using any ones names or places. This will protect you from any lawsuits and also from hurting visitors? feelings. A good motto for this code of ethic would be, say to others what you would want them to say about you. You also need to be sure that you protect a person?s privacy. Invading a person?s privacy is rude as well as intrusive. If you do not want someone doing it to you then do not do it to others. A great way to avoid violating this blog code of ethic is to avoid using names or places if it all possible. If it is unavoidable try to use as much damage control as possible.

3. Be Accountable: You need to accept the consequences that may come with your blog. If you have made a mistake in any of your postings admit it right away, do not try to avoid it. Everyone makes mistakes and if you own up to yours you will be more respected in the readers eyes. If someone happens to question your information on your blog open up a discussion with the person. Try to see why they feel the way they do and if they prove to be right, apologize to the person and admit that yes you are right I did make a mistake. If you are not accountable for your blog you will be in violation of the blog code of ethics and as a result, you will lose followers. All of these blog codes of ethics are common sense but also the most neglected parts of Blogging. Following a basic code of ethics will enable you to be trustworthy blogger to your visitors.

Blogging Your Way to Profits Chapter 6

Now a Special Article by Dr. Jeffrey Lant

Oh me, oh my! My writer’s well has sure run dry.

Now what? Suggestions for out smarting writer’s block.

Author’s program note. Sooner or later EVERY writer will face the ordeal of the blank page and come up with — nothing! At such a moment, you may well fall victim to malaise, running the spectrum from anxious to suicidal. The longer the seizure lasts, the worst these reactions will be, until one completely miserable day you reckon you can never write another word again… and this can bring on not only sadness but a kind of death from which, like the real thing, there is no escape. To help you through this situation when it inevitably occurs, I am going to pack this article with one practical suggestion after another. You may not need them now; may not need them for a decade. But keep this article readily at hand for when you do.

First suggestion. Use a special song to raise your mood and get you moving. Have a song easily available that makes you want to surge. I have a list of favorites, all selected for their proven ability to lift my spirits and put me in the mood to give something to humanity, something like the project I’m currently writing. “Maniac” from the 2001 film “Flashdance” featuring Michael Sembello always works. I indulge myself, acting kid crazy as everything conduces to get you…. your brain…. and your prose flowing again. You’ll find this song in any search engine… turn it on, let yourself go, until you feel the unstoppable energy that this kind of insistent music delivers.

Second suggestion. The minute you get nervous, frustrated, flustered, hot under the collar, STOP and STOP at once. The worst thing you can do is force yourself to write. Not only will the quality of what you’re writing be tainted, but you’ll hurt yourself and begin to think the writing game is not worth the candle, the worst possible conclusion. This particular advice can be very difficult to follow. After all, you’ve been productive before and aim to be productive again just as soon as possible. Surely, if you force yourself to write you can push the blockage to one side and flow, right? Instead, sit down at your writing desk, write as much as you can that flows naturally. Stop when the flow ceases… … even if you’ve only managed to write a single word. Pushing yourself during a block never works positively and can easily affect your self-esteem and self-confidence when the push doesn’t work.

Third Suggestion. Keep your regular writing hours, even if you cannot write your name on the page just now. Good habits are the key to good, constant, always flowing writing. Thus, it is important during drought days to do the precise things you did during the fat days. What you produce may not be substantial — yet. But even if you find yourself in the position of Oscar Wilde (“in the morning I put in a comma; in the afternoon I took it out again.”) that won’t matter. Why? Because the most productive writers are like Pavlov’s dogs… trained to write whilst in your sanctified writer’s place.

Fourth Suggestion. Still stalled? Do this! First of all, notice I use the word “stalled” to describe your current unproductive situation. It is a word that implies you were moving and the problem being solved you will regain your accustomed outcome… and peace of mind. Thus, when stalled do this… Take a walk around the park (if you’re lucky enough like me to have one right out the front door, so much the better). Find yourself a shaded bench where the view is congenial. Take out the pad and paper every writer must always carry; select an object and — describe it, fully, completely, without leaving anything out of your description… writing not only factually but with as much lyric beauty as you can draw from the “dry” well at the moment. The simple task of describing the flower bed at your feet starts the productive juices flowing… even if you’re able, just now, to write only a single word (tree) with just one adjective (green). The thousand mile journey starts with the single step; yours starts with a single word… and any word will do.

Fifth Suggestion. Copy a page of another’s prose… to get you moving. Nothing happening so far to get your stalled skills working productively again? No worries! Take a passage from a favorite book or article, open a file and enter this text. As you do, engaging brain and nimble fingers, you’re performing a function all prose writers regularly do, in my case almost daily, that is entering reference material. When you’ve finished so entering a block of text, go on and comment on what you’ve entered. What was good about the passage entered, what was bad, what inspired, what underwhelmed? In just a minute or two, you’re writing… perhaps not yet up to your usual level. But what of that? Your creative faculties are working; your imagination is working, your fingers are working… and soon the flow of new ideas, new insights, new observations and new perceptions will be working, perhaps even better than before.

Sixth Suggestion. Read from your own prose. Far too many writers fail to read their prose aloud. This is bad for several reasons, including to make sure all sentences are balanced, harmonious, with every word the right word. Merely reading your prose cannot deliver the optimum result; reading aloud can. Thus, pick up the first page of anything you’ve written, not necessarily lately either. When you’ve finished reciting this page, sit down at your computer and write a second page to accompany what you’ve already written and read. Again, by positively positioning yourself and doing your usual tasks, you ease back into your stride and the production and presentation of the right words in the right order. And if none of this works?

Seventh Suggestion. Close, relax, start again tomorrow. With the best will in the world and the diligent adherence to these recommendations, your block may not end in a day, a week or even a month. Thus must you continue to implement these suggestions even when they may not be immediately helpful. Therefore, begin each writing day as you always have, at your usual time, and with your usual matutinal rites. Do not skip a single one. Similarly eat at the usual times; run your usual errands in the usual way. And above all, close your shop at the usual time with the usual activities, such as preparing reference materials for next day usage. Never stay up late forcing yourself every step of the way; that may well have been a contributing factor to the blockage in the first place.

Guaranteed results. Follow these steps, and I guarantee your days of obstacles, impediments, blocks and absolutely no progress will be history soon enough. Moreover, because you have experienced what is often a terrifying situation, you are better prepared to see it coming and take immediate action to overcome it. Once you do, dance the “Maniac” gyrations for yourself. They’ll put you in just the right frame of mind to produce that Niagara of high energy language, the kind your readers are thrilled you never stop writing and always produce so predictably and so well.

Multi-Stream Income Feeder Projects

MLM Downline – low cost of entry member to member cash machine. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. You cannot think of all the other components as “upsells” but rather as enablers for each additional stream of income. The “community build” promotes the primary URL, which then leads signups to each of the independent income streams. Once they sign up, they are then positioned to collect residual income as an affiliate of each of those streams. Each of the tools and “downline builder” projects have fantastic capabilities as standalone systems themselves, and are well worth taking the time to participate and grow in each. Programs included in MLM Downline:

  • Global NPN – Full suite of business tools
    • CTR Legends – Traffic
    • NPN Call Center – Closes your Leads For You
    • FB Millionaire Mastery – Training
  • LeadSkimmer – Lead Capture
  • TrafficWave – Autoresponder
  • FreeIBOToolbox – Business Success MLM
  • List Joe – Business Success MLM
  • TopSurfer – Traffic and Advertising
  • GDI – Hosting, Business Builder MLM

Perpetual Income Club – again, low cost of entry, but not member-to-member payments. The “community build” works the same way and each of the downstream projects could stand on their own merit. Designed to allow each member to earn a continuous stream of $39 payments to infinity. Programs included in Perpetual Income Club:

Clickbank Passive Income – Another autopilot marketing system. Leverage Patric Chan’s proven system and earn commissions and residual income from thew sale of ClickBank products.
