An OpEd Piece that Outlines Solutions[br]
One of the frustrations as an admin is that 85% of the people who sign up for a site have NO INTENTION of spending ONE DIME with you. They want to grab everything free, take all the bonuses and free points, and when they are used up you never see them again.[br]
It’s easy to find them:
- Beyond the first day or so, they NEVER login
- By comparing login/logoff time, they spend a minimal amount of time on your site.
- They do not VIEW ADS for the advertising value and opportunities: they only want to grab the points so they can post THEIR ads.
- They use robots or point skimmers.
- They post LOW VALUE products or services
- By their ads, they know very little about the products or services.
- They do not USE WHAT THEY SELL – simply affiliate marketers trying to make a buck FOR FREE
Pretzel logic in play: If you are advertising on a safelist with mostly free members:[br]
- what are your chances of actually getting someone to OPEN your email or VIEW your ad??
- what are your chances of getting someone INTERESTED in your product, especially having only ONE EXPOSURE to the product, service, or concept you are working with?
- what are your chances of someone making a purchase?
Now, what If I were to present a different business model to you. Ideally:[br]
Free membership is only good for 30 days. After that, you either upgrade or terminate.[br]
Offer Lifetime PAID memberships that get paid COMMISSIONS but a portion of the revenue must be SPENT at that membership site.[br]
Let’s compare this to the Country Club business model.[br]
There would be a minimum monthly spending requirement for ADVERTISING.[br]
- In the country club business model they don’t care if you pay green fees, rent a golf cart, buy clothing in the Pro Shop, or eat dinner there twice per month, as long as you make that spending minimum.
This would be the collapse of Safelists as we know them.[br]
BUT…[br]
- Your market would be a market of people who KNOW the value of GOOD ADVERTISING.
- Your ads would be going to a BUYERS market
- The quality of the products and services would be ELEVATED
- People would KNOW THAT THERE IS AN EXPECTATION THAT THEY MUST INVEST IN THEIR BUSINESS, and keep the free-market economy ACTIVE.
OK. Now back to a “modified reality”.[br]
- I know this message will not be opened by the majority of my subscribers. Most of them fall into the “freeloader” category anyway, so I would not expect them to comprehend much beyond the next freebie.
- They do not understand that you must INVEST IN YOUR BUSINESS and INVEST IN YOURSELF to start a successful business.
- They do not have what it takes to be an entrepreneur and they waste the time, and resources of those of use WHO DO.
Safelists do not have to be labored with this stigma like an albatross.[br]
I own several other safelists that are using a different model. [br]
- It is a platform where you DO have the opportunity to start out for free, but it is not a charity model.
- It is a business model that PAYS INSTANT COMMISSIONS: the higher the membership level, the higher the commission, up to Founders level (only 50 allowed by charter) who earn 150% commissions! 100% of sales + the Admin share!
- You are expected to PROMOTE this site to get REFERRALS. Referrals are HOW YOU GET PAID. Ad purchases and upgrades BY YOUR REFERRALS are HOW YOU GET PAID. YOU do not want freeloaders and tire kickers!
- You are expected to ADVANCE THROUGH THE BUSINESS.
- As you are earning commissions, you REINVEST some of those earnings in YOURSELF with upgrades that get you higher INSTANT COMMISSIONS.
- You purchase PREMIUM ADVERTISING from THIS SITE, and you continue to promote THIS SITE at other similar sites that are using this SAME BUSINESS MODEL.
- You promote OTHER SITES HERE that map to THIS SAME BUSINESS MODEL.
And the world of SUCCESSFUL MARKETING AND PROFITS goes round and round.[br]
