Tired of typing? If you are a Microsoft Windows user, try the Voice to Text Dictation Tool.
Just Press [Windows] h. The [Windows] key looks like this.
You will see “Initializing” in a box covering the Bookmark Bar in the Chrome browser. Position your cursor where you want to begin text distation.
One thing to mention is that your computer LEARNS the more you use it. I know, just like on my smartphone, the first couple times using it may look like a bad translation from a foreign language, but don’t get discouraged.
This is particularly handy if you have lots to type, and don’t mind proofreading and editing before sending (although it is pretty cool if you just want to mess with somebody – just send as-is).
From an accessibility perspective, this has helped me tremendously since I have severe neuropathy and arthritis in my hands. I would not be able to produce this newsletter, or do my advertising without tools like Dictation, JitBit Autotext, Roboform, or Lightning Autofill.
TIP: If writing a lot, use Dictation with an application that autosaves, like Google Docs, Sheets, or Keep.
