What am I doing with Clickbank?

I’ve been an affiliate with Clickbank for about 10 years, and promoted some related niche products aligned with my various niche websites.   Here are some ways I promoted CB products RELATED to my primary businesses at the time.

For instance, I had a “foodie” blog, and promoted several Clickbank informational and training products associated with food prep, wine pairing, nutrition, and presentation, and corollary products to the weight loss niche.

I also had a healthy lifestyle blog connected to a line of exercise equipment. I found many popular subscription courses on CB related to exercise, specifically yoga and Pilates.

I’m now retired and out of the ecommerce and blogging business per se, with my current blogs acting only as archives for my newsletters, but I do list some chosen CB products on my website and have the full searchable CB catalog in my CB Store

There are many excellent products in the network marketing niche, especially targeted training that is not tied to hyped-up, easy button programs.

TIP: Always use a splash page or capture page when promoting Clickbank, Warrior+, or JVZoo products.  Using raw hoplinks has so many issues, even when using URL shorteners or Trackers.

How I Use Spreadsheets in My Daily Routine

• Send log – I track all the emails that i send every day.  This helps me to understand the safelists where I am sending Solo, Credit Mail, and Supersolo ads, with the
  • date,
  • safelist site,
  • number of recipients I send to,
  • the project,
  • credit/solo/Supersolo, and
  • subject line.​

• Quick reference and sites tab.  I have a tab in the same spreadsheet for “lists” of sites like the BigDogs CHIPs, Worldprofit safelists, Supersolos sites/members  I grab these lists to copy/.paste into my log sheet so I don’t miss any of them.
• Referrals Count Tracking – a good point-in-time look at where I have referrals, how many, and member level.
• Referrals Tracking – this records the name/email of downlines for certain projects where understanding rankings and sales are important.
• Affiliate IDs.  This is a filtered database for each of my safelist and exchange affiliate sites.  This makes it so easy to look up affiliate IDs, and promotional tools URLs for the literally thousands of sites I have joined over the last 12 years. Great reference for filling out Downline Builders. For each, I record

  • login and password
  • affiliate URL

• Capitalization Tool – Sheets has a ChangeCase Extension to help manage setting capitalization of text. Pick a cell and paste in your text string.  The extension allows one-click operation that changes the text to

  • Invert case
  • Sentence case
  • Title case
• Data Parser/Sorter – Spreadsheets are excellent tools for taking a list copied from a website, filtering, sorting, re-ordering, deleting. See my Youtube channels for some techniques
  • For example, when I use Referral Frenzy, I copy today’s My Mailings table, and paste it into a blank sheet.  I “normalize” the data,
    • remove all formatting and URLs,
    • delete unwanted columns,
    • delete 0 sends
    • sort, then
    • paste into my Send Log sheet.
  • This whole operation takes literally 2 minutes, as opposed to 20 minutes to do manually.  Helps me avoid logging into sites I’ve already sent to from Referral Frenzy.

Now.  Just because you SUBMIT and ad does not mean it is APPROVED so it can be distributed or shown.

Question: How often should I promote?

As often as you can in as many places as possible. The more promotion, the better!

This can be managed using organization, scheduling, tools and automation. I send 1-2 million emails per day in about 2 hours, excluding MSB, FOX, and TZ traffic.

• I use the free Windows Multi-Clipboard to reduce the need to switch screens as often for copy/paste
• I use free tool, Jitbit Autotext, to create shortcuts that eliminate the need to switch screens for copy/paste
• I use Roboform for multi-platform password management and login automation
• I use Referral Frenzy, not only to send ads to up to 110 traffic sources, but also to SCHEDULE ads up to 30 days in advance.
• Many mailers allow SCHEDULING the date/time (usually up to a couple days) to send your credit mail. Examples: Mailsy, MisterSafelist, ProactiveMailer, AtlasSafelist
• I use Traffic Zipper to automatically check availability and auto-send rotated credit mails and solos to top mailers
• I use Lightning Autofill to store ad profiles and automate ad submission to the most popular safelists and mailers.
• My primary Solo Blaster is Master Safelist Blaster that sends my ads to 548,000+ members of 315 safelists, and rotates my 5 stored ads.  Although not my focus, subscriptions also include banners, buttons, and textlinks.
• I use Emerald Traffic Blaster to add 3-5 leads daily to my list, generate 500 views per day, automatically send weekly Ruby Solo ads, and post PRIME Login Ads
• I use the free tool, MasterSafelistMails, to organize incoming credit-earning emails from over 300 safelists, while eliminating Gmail bounces and volume-related slow-downs.  Read the last 50 emails from every site, or login right from there to read more or submit ads.

Question: Where and how should I promote?

Network Marketing is a GAME of LARGE NUMBERS and HIGH COMPETITION.

• I Use the MOST EFFECTIVE media and methods.
  • Promote using ACTIVE TRAFFIC like Solo ads, Credit Mail, Supersolos
  • I Utilize highly effective Sponsor Login Ads that are seen whenever users login to safelists
  • I Utilize PRIME  Login Ads seen by the millions of Worldprofit Associate members BEFORE they login to Worldprofit’s Associate Member Area & BEFORE they enter any free advertising!
  • I do not bother with ineffective PASSIVE TRAFFIC media like Banners, Buttons, and Surf Links.  Avoid Textlinks unless you have safelist referrals on that site
  • I use TRACKERS and SPLIT TEST sources, effectiveness of subject lines, ad copy, capture pages, bonuses  Tracker sources: BuildABizOnline, LeadsLeap, ViralURL, HitsConnect
  • I TEST my Capture Pages, redirection, and autoresponder message streams to be sure they WORK.  I use a tool called 10minutemail.com to create a 10 minute email account and inbox, enough time to do a complete funnel test.
  • I use SuperSolos to SPLIT TEST subject lines.  Supersolos allow up to 5 subject lines and return click stats for each.  I purchase Supersolos through the many deals (see left column) but usually buy in bulk at SimpleTextAdz
• Promote to VERIFIED Traffic Sources
  • Safelists and other double opt-in traffic sources are a good starting point, but check REVIEWS and TEST yourself using TRACKERS.  Get promo codes to over 400 sites by joining through Free Member Promo Codes pages at Advertising Blowout. Get a 5-pack for joining, 5-pack when you redeem Promo Code newmember, and redeem ABO promo code for yet another.

  • Create different and unique CAPTURE PAGES and GRAPHICS
  • Utilize QUALITY LEAD MAGNETS and BONUSES that have VALUE to the prospect
• ​Be TRUTHFUL
  • ​NEVER  make Earnings Projections or promises
  • Do not use DECEPTIVE claims
  • USE what YOU sell and USE, and give examples of PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Quite often, things change with programs.  Capture pages are updated, different pages for holiday promotions, you are asked to use a new bridge page, or point to a different thankyou/bonus page.

What I do, is promote the TRACKER URLs, so I can easily swap out ANY of these components, without having to change them in all the places I have promoted.

Example 1.  The Launch

I get an email that there is a new funnel my sponsor wants me to promote.  All I have right now is a URL for a “canned” affiliate page.  I create a TRACKER and set the REDIRECT URL value to the URL that points to that affiliate page, and promote the TRACKER URL, just to get a jump.

If I promoted the raw affiliate URL that is not the final page I want people to see permanently, those ads could hang out there sometimes for months or years, and THOSE ADS would be WRONG!  It would be an incredible amount of work to GO BACK to those sites to update that URL.

The SMART WAY:  If I promote the TRACKER URL, I get an opportunity to build the front and back-end pages, then simply change the URL VALUE so it now points to my desired page, the CAPTURE PAGE.  OK, I might lose some LIST SUBSCRIBERS, but most likely, the early takers on launches are generally BUYERS who would probably be on my list already.

When promoting LAUNCHES, it’s important to get promotions OUT THERE ASAP, and this method allows me to do that, and take the time I need to build my funnel right.

Yes, before I figured this out, I used to be scurrying in the wee hours the night before Launch Day trying to get everything perfect before the launch.  In reality, I rushed to push promos out there, only to have my ads sit in the approval queue of the site admin (before the days of auto-approve), and delays in the email distribution queues, so by the time any humans saw my ads (other than admins), I built the funnel and pointed the TRACKER URL to the finished pages.

Example 2.  Holiday Promotions

I have the “normal” capture page already out there through my promotions, and a new holiday promotion comes out.  I build or copy/modify my capture page for the holiday theme.  If the back-end changes, I just build or copy/modify the thankyou page and change the TRACKER to point to THAT page.  Potential hours of work done in MINUTES.  Viewers see the holiday pages, even if they are viewing ads that were posted months ago.
